Awards Ceremony

The exciting Awards Ceremony to see which student receives top honors for their excellence in certain subjects.  TJ did very well his 8th grade year.  He was nominated and received Coach's Award for baseball.  He was nominated for the Rotary Scholarship ($600)and Math Student of the Year.  He graduated in the top 12 of his class with a 3.8 GPA and higher.  And he was nominated by the principal for Boy of the Year (only 5 were picked out of the whole school!!).

Suffice to say, we are extremely proud of TJ and his accomplishments.  He is a very well-rounded kid in school, sports and social activites!

Train Ride

MA loves trains!!!  VM and I decided to take MA on a train ride for the day.  We were so excited, I think we were more excited than MA!  I think we were just so excited for him, to see how he would react and seeing it through his eyes.
As the train was coming, it was awesome to see the pure joy on his face and then actually getting on!  Usually, we're in the car waiting for it to pass or watching it come or go when we take his Vava to the station.  But to actually step foot into one, that is an experience, as parent, that you treasure...that moment!
