Sand Castles

Our last day at the coast before heading home!  VM decided to try his luck with fishing, TJ wanted to splash around in the ocean and MA wanted to play with his new toys and build sand castles.  While I soaked up the sun, took pictures and watched all three boys at play!

4th of July

We spent the evening for July 4th taking a walk on the beach.  It was a rather quiet 4th, we decided not to go see the fireworks.  We played for a while then ended up going home for some Ben & Jerry's!  What's a 4th with B&J?  Yum!

Suprise Visit

Day 3 of our vacation, we already had the grandparents come into town.  HB called while we were at teppanyaki the night before and felt really bad because they were not there.  To our delight and surprise, they showed up this morning for a visit!  P was in awe because she was no longer the new kid on the block, there was someone else that gets to carry that torch!



Walk of the Pier

We had teppanyaki for dinner in Pismo courtesy of my boss.  They wanted to treat me and my family for an evening out for bonding.  We had such a great time ~ the food was wonderful and our chef was entertaining (I think a little on the conservative side).  But overall we all had a good time.  Afterwards we took a stroll on the pier to walk off our dinner!

After persuading the grandparents to come to the coast for the weekend, we had a great dinner and decided to take a walk around the block.  The evening was crisp and cool and just perfect for some family bonding.

1st Time Fishing

Our first day of vacation and VM took full advantage of taking his pole out for the first time this year.  We hadn't been to the coast since last year and I knew he was looking forward to spending some time with one of his favorite pastimes. 

Of course, MM had to get in on the action and see if he could catch any fish.  Unfortunately, neither one of them were lucky on this go around!
