Family Game Night

I wanted to put a little twist for our Christmas get together so I thought it would be fun to do Family Game Night in the afternoon.  We had a lot of laughs and fun watching how silly everyone looked.  It was a series of 8 rapid games (based on the game show "Minute to Win It").  We spilt up into 3 teams...Team Santa, Team Rudolph and Team Frosty.
Everyone got into the spirit and even had a little competitiveness going on but all in all, we had a great time eating and playing...quality time with one another!

Christmas 2012

My 2nd year hosting Christmas at my house and what fun we had!  I did breakfast with all the trimmings and even had a hot cocoa, tea and juice bar.  The food was a hit and the get together was full of love and laughter!  Lots of gifts, and the Secret Santa gift exchange twist (with a homemade gift) is getting very creative!  Later that evening I incorporated Game Night to stretch out quality time with my family!

The 40 and the 4 Year Old

With T's and MA's birthday's a few days apart, of course I take this opportunity to celebrate it.  I can be a challenge when hers is 2 days before Christmas and his is 3 days after.  With us moving our Christmas a week later, cramming all this celebration in 2-3 days seems to really work.  Lots of planning but I think I've covered all the bases of birthday's and holidays!

Preschool Christmas Program

MA's preschool put together a Christmas program where the kids sang Christmas songs.  MA had a fabulous time singing his heart out.  He knew the words to all the songs and made sure everyone heard him!  Afterwards Santa came by to deliver their Christmas gifts...MA was so fascinated because he had never seen Santa Claus before!

A Halloween Night

MA's preschool had a Halloween Night program they put on for the parents and families.  All the kids were dressed up in their Halloween costumes and they sang Halloween songs for us.  They all looked so adorable and MA did so well singing his songs!  He knew all the words and I was so impressed because I had never taught these songs to him.  He learned this at school in about 3 weeks time.  So proud of my little fire fighter!

My favorite:  the joy on his face!!  I got one!

He finally got the idea, you pick up the candy and put in bag!
