TJ's Party!

It was about a month's worth of planning for TJ's party.  At first it was going to be a basic birthday party, but then I decided to tie in the fall/Halloween theme.
I kept the decorations very simple due to the fact I didn't have my sidekick to help (my sister TA was unable to come into town that weekend).  I didn't want to burden my parents (they do enough already).  My husband unfortunately had to work.  And the birthday boy...well you can fill in the rest.  I would ask him his thoughts on decorations and what desserts I should make, you know I thought he would be a good sounding board to bounce ideas off of since it was his party.  Yeah so he was no help!  So it was up to me to basically plan the party from beginning to end.
I was so excited to make the cupcakes and some different desserts.  I am not much of a baker when it comes to cupcakes but I found a recipe that looked simple enough and tied in with the theme.  Then I found some cool looking cookies that I knew the kids would get a kick out of.  And the other desserts are ones I've done before that were just basic but good ol' faithfuls!

I made sure that I had the games all organized so the kids wouldn't get bored and I could keep them focused.  After the party was over, TJ made a comment and had said that he was worried because the party was off to a slow start.  Ha!  He had no faith, once the kids got there and had a few slices of pizza in them ~ things got going to a pretty fast start.
In the end, they all had a fantastic time and they all loved the goodies!
